I bought this to replace a brand name jar. That looks exactly like this. It’s exactly the same jar so much cheaper. It just doesn’t have the expensive brand on the bottom. Works like a charm.

Love it grinds so good

I like this product because I became used to a Williams-Sonoma salt grinder for 20 years. It was much easier to control how much would go into my recipes … and I tend to go easy. The Williams-Sonoma grinder finally was out of breath after 20 years and needed to be replaced

This one is a decent replacement. I can still control how much salt or pepper I'd like to grind into whatever I'm cooking. The downside is that it's not as easy to use. If my rocks of salt don't fall into the grinding mechanism just so, I have to stop, shake and spank it against my hand in order to get it working again. Not a one-of circumstance. It's every time I use it.

Is it an adequate replacement for what I had? Absolutely! Is it ideal? Not quite. Still, a reasonable product at a reasonable price point.

Second purchase of these grinders. Works great for my Himalayan salt and my peppercorns. It sits Upright, in other words the grinder is not on the bottom of the unit. This keeps all of the mess from falling all over your table and counter. That was the main reason I got rid of all of my other grinders!! I love these, they hold a lot, they are easy to operate and clean, and they do not make a mess! Price is great too. What's not to love!

Good quality, easy to use and refill.

I like the salt grinder, it works great with Himalayan salt. The pepper grinder stopped grinding after 7 months and I have tried everything to correct the problem. I am very disappointed because I love the the look of the pair and now I had to go back and use my old standby that I have had for years.
