They are really nice and good quality for the price.

Mine lasted three months before both of them were dropped and broken.

They may last if your people are usually careful.

I use these daily for cocoa powder for my coffee/hot chocolate and cinnamon sugar for toast and they work great. They fit well in the hand and are easy to grip. I like the weight of the glass, and the nonporous material prevents flavors from transferring if you use the jar for a different spice after. They also wash well in the dishwasher – I put the lids in the silverware basket. I like that there are three different settings – small holes, large holes, and pouring – so I can get exactly the amount of spice that I want each time. It's also easy to rotate the lid to get to the desired setting.

The only issue that I've run into is that you can't fill them more than 3/4 of the way, so there is room for the contents to move around so they can come out easily and not get stuck. Also, thick powders, like cornstarch, just don't come out that easily, even through the big pouring hole. So, these are strictly for spices that you intend to sprinkle, not measure with a measuring spoon.

Overall, these are a good size, attractive, durable, and easy to use.

I like the fact that you can see the content of what’s in the shaker. I also like the function of the three position top to allows me to use in three different ways.

These are very nice salt and pepper shakers. They are easy to fill and quite sturdy. The only issue I have, and it's enough to drop my rating to three stars, is the hole sizes. While there are three different pour sizes, even the smallest let's out a torrent of spices and you really have to be careful when pouring. I usually put a little rice in the shaker to absorb any moisture, but that can't be done with these as the holes will pour the rice along with. It's a minor annoyance, but these look so nice I wish they poured like a regular shaker not something that pours.

I use these shakers for when cooking/baking. Not great for daily use because the openings are large, but perfect for what I wanted it for. Love them.

Overall, my wife and I are happy with this item. It is a very versatile from a functionality standpoint, as you just need to rotate the lid to open/close and get to the right opening for your need. We plan on using it for the classic salt/pepper storage, but this could definitely be used for other (bigger) spices.

The clean up for the product is also easy, as it is dishwasher safe (we put it on the top rack) as stated in the product description.

The reason why we took a star off is because the glass quality is a bit lacking in our opinion, especially for the price. From the time that we took it out of the packaging, it felt thinner than other similar glass containers, including those Simply Organic small glass spice containers (it also sounds different; you can tell that the quality is not up to par). The steel quality of the lid seems to be fine – which makes the lack of glass quality a bit more puzzling. We will probably take great care to not drop this or put too much force, as we feel like it will break easily.

The glass in these shakers is light-medium weight at best, not heavy duty like some have said. I am sure these are not made of tempered glass and extra care must be taken while using them, so they don't break. The Stainless-Steel lids are non-magnetic, indicating that they are food quality SS304 or better. The seal has a closed position and three other positions to suit your needs.

What I don't like is that they are too small for my needs when I smoke a brisket so, I am glad that they come with two jars so I can do one job. The other perplexing thing is that the jars have numbers on the side with no indication of what they are used for. It's not like it's for measuring anything; don't know if it's for Tbsp, Tsp, grams, or ounces or anything else.

These will work for what I need to use them for, just not what I was expecting.
